The joy of Huili Nursery

17 Sep 2021

It is so important in the first few weeks of any new academic year for all our families to embrace the strong community spirit and support across the Huili nursery. Families will settle back into their regular routines quicker if they experience a sense of belonging, feel happy, safe and secure. This is very similar to the process the children have been going through in the nursery over the past couple of weeks, particularly for those that, like me, are stepping through the nursery doors for the very first time. The teachers have been placing importance on the wellbeing of all children, ensuring that their personal, social and emotional development is their priority. After all, it is only when children feel happy, safe and secure that they can truly thrive and strive to reach their full potential.

At Huili Nursery we ensure that children are at the heart of everything we do. I am passionate about early years education and also firmly believe that following the interests of the child is key to motivation, interest and engagement. If levels of involvement are high, their wellbeing will also be high and therefore, ensuring a deeper level of learning. The unique bilingual approach in Huili nursery is also key to laying strong foundations, increasing children’s chance of success and guiding them to become life-long learners.

The teachers have clearly listened to children’s voices in their class, following interests and sparking imagination through the awe and wonder of carefully planned and inspiring provocations. Each photograph has beautifully captured the children’s engagement, along with the adults in the class, and you can see how joyful, independent and busy our little learners have been already.

There is nothing that quite compares to the sound of children laughing, playing and having fun.
