After rigorous bidding process, catering is provided by Sodexo Group, which serves more than 50 international schools in China as the market leader and has more than 3,000 employees. Its clients include both Chinese and International Top 500 companies located in more than 20 cities in China.

All children are required to eat school lunches, except for those who have special reasons, such as religious or medical reasons. Any reason for not being able to eat school lunches will require official documentation and permission from the respective Head of School.
School clinic will collect the food allergy information for all new children, parents can choose whether this pupil will need to take food from allergy counter. If the pupil has food allergy or food intolerance but they can recognize the allergen, they can dine like other pupils and get food from regular counters. If the pupil can’t identify the allergen, we would like to recommend this pupil to get food from allergy counter, the serving staff will get the food based on the allergy information.
WeChat top up
The student ID card also serves as a canteen card, and parents can top up from the Sodexo online WeChat public account. The student ID number will be sent to parent whilst enrolled and parents can bond the ID number to Sodexo system. The online top-up opens 24 hours every day from WeChat. From the same public WeChat account, parents can view the daily consumption history, monthly menu and sample meal pictures. Sodexo will take charge of issuing invoices for the lunch fees / top-up fees, the request can be made via WeChat public account, which takes 15 working days to process at most. Parents can prepare healthy snack for pupils for break times. Due to health concerns, nuts are forbidden in our campus. We wish parents can work us to thrive for a nut-free environment.
We have a running food committee that consists of parents and staff representatives. The food committee offers all parties a chance to feedback directly to Sodexo and regular surveys will be taken and acted upon. Food committee would organize parents for meal tasting and spot canteen check, changes will be made by Sodexo based on parents feedback. Pupils can also provide feedback to the Student Council, Services team will meet with Student Council to discuss issues raised by pupils.
Food committee is committed to forge a proactive and dynamic group with shared goal of safeguarding the wellbeing of our pupils. The scope of food committee includes:
1. Organize food committee meeting once every semester to discuss any issues in terms of catering and review food report provided by catering vendor.
2. Discuss any feedback gathered by parent representatives and make targeted action plans if any.
3. Review the results of actions required from previous meetings and evaluate the results.
4. Promote healthy dining for pupils at each stage.
5. Review the necessity of arranging extra food committee meetings for any special reasons.
